curated by Milan Henderickx
Opening
Thursday 6 October at 18:00
Dieter De Kerf (Sint-Niklaas. °1993) lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium, and he recently graduated as a master of fine arts from PXL-MAD, Hasselt, where he was tutored by Koen van den Broek, Patrick Van Den Eynde, and Stef Driessen. De Kerf also did an internship with Guy Van Bossche during the first year of his master’s degree.
He primarily works in oil on canvas, exploring how pictorial elements within the confines of the canvas can evoke a sense of spatiality and liminality. There are references in his maquettes and architectural studies, as well as found images, architecture, and science fiction.
